DAVIS, Lee V.

Bucyrus – Lee V. Davis, 61, of near Bucyrus died at 3:35 this morning in Community Hospital following an illness of four or five years.  Mr. Davis was born in Fountain County, Ind Oct 29, 1896 to James M. and Iola Pashal Davis. He was married July 6, 1945 to Dorothy Travis who now is manager of the Montgomery Ward Co. order office here. Surviving with his wife are four sisters: Mrs. Edith Lindley of Kingman, Ind; Miss Janet Davis of Indianapolis; Miss Helen Davis of Danville, Ind and Mrs. William DeVore of Lawrenceville Ind. One son by a previous marriage, 2nd Lt. Robert L. Davis was killed during WWII.  Mr. Davis was a retired sawmill operator and came here in 1944.  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 at the Munz Funeral Home (sic) with Rev. Brice Chidester officiating. Burial will be in Coalcreek (sic) Cemetery at Coalcreek, Ind. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday night.
